In October 2017 a new conference facility, “AKASAKA INTERCITY CONFERENCE CENTER”, will open in Akasaka, where the streets are lined with embassies and foreign-affiliated companies and where business people from around the world gather. A ‘conference center’ refers to a facility in North America or Europe for conferences and training sessions, where the focus is on an environment for pleasant ‘learning.’ Incorporating the essence of that concept, we have created twelve conference rooms suitable for both large and small business events, from international conferences and symposiums to business discussions. Also, we have taken care to provide comfortable ‘time off’ spaces in the facility, such as the spacious entrance and lounges where you can view the urban greenery outside. New ideas and innovations will be born here in Akasaka.

3F/4F Entrance & Reception

Our conference concierge warmly serves
domestic and international clients.

The entrance, which you can smoothly access from the building’s first floor, has a calm, woody atmosphere. A bilingual concierge who can welcome clients from abroad with confidence is permanently stationed at the reception. Also, our conference office offers a one-stop response to a variety of client needs, from advice on ways to use our conference rooms to arrangements for food and drinks and information on hotels and other nearby facilities.

3F/4F Conference Lounge

Between meetings take a relaxing coffee break
in our lounges.

A feature that makes our facility a stand-out is our comfortable, hotel-like common spaces, starting with our entrance lounge. Also, we have adopted the overseas practice of providing food and drinks at meetings with some of our facilities (with the exceptions of the AIR, the Green and the Amphitheater) offering permanent kiosks so that drinks and snacks can be enjoyed in conference lounges. By interspersing coffee breaks in long meetings, participants can completely switch on and off, making for more lively discussions.

3F Boardroom

An executive boardroom
with a pre-function room.

This room offers an optimal, exclusive ambience for highly confidential meetings and business discussions, as well as training sessions in which as many as twenty people can exchange views. In addition to a full-sized conference room equipped with a big 98-inch monitor, a pre-function room is also provided. We can confidently welcome VIPs from both Japan and abroad to this high-security area that permits direct access from the guest drop-off area. Also, the pre-function room can be used as both a waiting room and a space for coffee breaks and reception parties.

3F/4F Conference Rooms

Spacious conference rooms with carefully curated
desks and chairs and views of urban greenery.

Our small-to-mid-sized conference rooms – three on the third floor and five on the fourth floor – also aim to provide a pleasant environment for meetings and seminars. You can flexibly change the layout for greater ease of use, according to the purpose. Also, we have provided an environment that helps participants maintain their concentration even during long meetings and seminars. In our 100㎡ or smaller conference rooms you can use conference chairs with large seats and adjustable heights that keep you from tiring and choose desk sizes best suited to your needs. All eight rooms offer a spacious environment and views of the abundant greenery on the grounds.

4F the Amphitheater

“the Amphitheater” with its own lobby
for premium presentations.

Our fan-shaped conference room is distinguished by its comfortable personal space, as well as for stadium seating that permits easy viewing of presentations from anywhere in the room. Various kinds of presentations using visuals are possible, with not only a conventional screen, but also a glass screen that allows for the projection of video images on two surfaces at once. The conference room is also ideal for launch announcements of new products, since you can also use “the Green,” which adjoins the room, as an exhibition space.

4F the AIR

Our 300-seat main hall is equipped with two simultaneous
translation booths.

Our main hall, the biggest in the entire facility, can accommodate 300 people. In this spacious conference hall, which has a 4.8m-high ceiling and no pillars, are a large screen and simultaneous translation booths, making it suitable for international conferences, academic colloquiums and various business events. The desks can seat two people comfortably, and the chairs, fitted with casters as well as large armrests on the chair seats, stave off exhaustion even during long seminars. Equipped with a dedicated control room for adjusting audio and lighting and switching video images, the main hall can support large-scale business events. It can also be partitioned for certain uses.

3F/4F Facilities Furniture System

Functionally laid-out conference rooms can be reserved
together with a system that can transmit
and receive audio and video in all the rooms at once.

You can flexibly use our facilities according to your needs, including the option of reserving all of them, since our conference rooms and lounges are efficiently laid out, and share an audio/visual system. You can easily operate our basic video, audio and lighting equipment using a tablet. In addition, by selecting the best equipment and facilities for each conference room, including original 50-cm-deep desks, we offer both adequate seating capacity and comfortable personal space.

    The third floor consists of the Boardroom and conference rooms for 100, 50 or 25 people. A high-quality room for executive meetings, the corridor leading to the Boardroom is guarded by a security gate, while permitting direct access from the guest drop-off area. Also, highly experienced staff is always on duty in our conference office to respond to the various needs of our clients.

    “the AIR”, a 300-seat hall, is the focal point of the 4th floor, which also has “the Amphitheater” and small and large conference rooms. With a spacious lounge and a dedicated reception area, as well as numbers of waiting rooms, it has been designed so that conferences can be completely held on one floor. “the AIR”, which is equipped with simultaneous interpretation booths and can be partitioned into smaller spaces, is suitable for various uses, including international meetings and receptions. For premium presentations, we also provide the Amphitheater, which is installed with high-visibility video equipment and outfitted with fan-shaped stadium seating.

Akasaka and Toranomon are areas where foreign-affiliated corporations and many other international businesses are headquartered, Kasumigaseki is the nerve center of the Japanese government and Roppongi is a hot spot for art museums and other cultural sites. Our facility will open in “AKASAKA INTERCITY AIR”, a new landmark located right in the center of it all. You can use three stations of five lines to reach us, including direct underground links to the Tameike-sanno and Kokkai-gijidomae subway stations. You can also access nearby hotels with a limousine bus from Narita and Haneda airports. We are proud of our outstanding convenience to guests from both Japan and abroad.
